GRAND PRIX 2010 - Poll for the Best Film of the Year Deadline: Sunday, August 1st, 2010
Dear colleagues,
At the opening ceremony of the upcoming San Sebastián Film Festival, on September 17th, 2010, FIPRESCI will once again present its Grand Prix to the Best Film of the Year. Please remember this award is chosen by all members of FIPRESCI through a direct and equal vote. It is therefore the occasion for everyone to take part in one of our most visible activities.
All you have to do is to send up to three nominations, in order of preference, along with their English title (if available), the director's name, and your own full name, to Ta e-poštni naslov je zaščiten proti smetenju. Če ga želite videti, omogočite Javascript. by Sunday August 1st.
The Grand Prix is meant to distinguish the best film for its overall artistic value, regardless of its origin (it is not a regional award) or the filmmaker's experience (neither discovery nor lifetime achievement). It can go to any film of any technique or genre, and coming from any country, as long as it is a feature-length film, and it had its international premiere after July 1st, 2009.
Please make sure you propose eligible films. Since release dates vary worldwide, please do not rely on the date for your own country. You can double-check the date of the international premi?re in www.imdb.com, for example, or by looking up the film.

KOLUMNA Kinematografija izolacijeV središču tokratnega Ekrana, s katerim začenjamo jubilejno sezono, smo poskrbeli še za en »dolg« do lanskega leta oziroma za mešano prijetno-zoprno dolžnost izpostavitve osebnih seznamov »naj« videnih filmov preteklega let, za dolžnost, ki so nam jo pomagali izpolniti slovenski filmski publicisti oziroma rednejši Ekranovi sodelavci. Za končni rezultat oziroma naslove celovečercev, ki se najpogosteje pojavljajo, lahko zapišemo predvsem to, da ne pomenijo nič drugega kot to, da se na lestvicah pač najpogosteje pojavljajo (in v tem so naši rezultati pravzaprav zelo podobni številnim podobnim anketam številnih tujih filmskih publikacij in združenj).
